The Mitsubish
i DT-160
shuffles cassettes like a card shark shuffles aces. It holds up to seven cassettes and functions as a copying deck as well.
this gorgeous front-loading beauty was released back in 1989 for 9, that's almost 0 today!
Made with a high level of build quality, the DT-156 & 160 were a marked improvement on their M-T4100/4200 that we refuse to sell due to their high failure rate. The DT-160 was definitely designed with playback in mind, just set and forget and this unique deck will play almost 10 hours of continuous music

You can program nine selections from either side of seven cassettes for simple playback or for copying. The left side houses a drawer that holds the seven cassettes with a conventional single cassette player-recorder on t
he right side
. You can keep seven favorite tapes loaded in the drawer and still load, play
and record
single tapes on the right side player-recorder.
The rear panel has stereo RCA input & output jacks next to the Rec Volume control. This is a substantial deck, measuring 16.75" x 12" x 6.5" tall and weighing in at over 18 lbs.
This
deck does have special transit locking features to secure the mechanisms during shipping. So do make sure you remove and store the transit screws before use.
By "The Best, Ltd." policy all decks weighing over 25 lbs are double-boxed for secure shipment. This one is a little light, but considering the value, and vintage nature of this deck, we'll give it the high-end treatment!

is in excellent condition with minor signs of use and a nice, clean front panel!
The only thing worth mentioning is some scuffs to the left of the counter that can be seen in the pics. All the original buttons & switches are present and complete, as is the AC cord. Please examine the pictures thoroughly for actual condition.
Service:
As with all the Cassette Decks we sell, this has undergone a full inspection and preventative maintenance performed.
All belts, pinch rollers & Idler Tires are inspected and treated with Rubber Renue or replaced if questionable. T

was lubed & belt replaced and b

were completely removed for thorough cleaning & lubed with non-petroleum based lube to assure long life. While open, the PC boards were inspected for
questionable
solder joints and all electrolytic caps are inspected for bulging or leakage. Finally,

ape paths are cleaned, heads demagnetized,

udio levels calibrated & balanced and t
ape speed calibrated.
Testing:
Once serviced, w
e set this up on our test bench and it powered right up with no issues whatsoever. All features and displays work as expected with both transports running smoothly, producing clear, steady audio with no distortion. The changer mech also runs smoothly and changes tapes from all seven slots with no issues. A short test track was recorded and played back with no issues. Further testing was done, including tape speed, output levels, etc. If there is a particular function you would like tested just let us know before buying. The manual has gone missing but no worries, the near identical DT-156 manual can be found online (unfortunately eBay no longer allows us to put the link in the listing for you).
