Description
Body/case has scratches, as can be seen in photos.Plays cassette, but when i first tried it (when first acquired, after who knows how long it sat), the left hub piece that turns the reel would not turn in 'play' mode. After a few RWs and FFs (which turned it), it loosened up. NOW it plays mostly, but occasionally
still does
get stuck or hesitates at startup in 'play' mode. Once playing, seems to be good. This is based on short tests, I have not done long term testing, so
this IS A VARIABLE
in its functionality.
db level needles move when tape is played. Lights in this window are working.
Tape door opens closes as it should. Rec, Rewind, FF, Play, Stop, pause
'buttons'
all operate functionally.
-the record
'function'
does not seem to work. It seems as if it is recording in the tape is moving but nothing is recorded
'counter' works, as does counter rested button.
letters above Eject button are worn out.
ALL buttons in bottom right corner push and stay in, then snap back properly when pushed again.
No cracks in window into tape slot, or window into db levels / counter area.
Right "Record levels slider" is missing knob. Still able to move just with the nubb that is there.
TO SUM IT UP. THIS
IS
A FUNCTIONAL TAPE 'PLAYER' WITH SOME ISSUES. IT IS
NOT
FUNCTIONAL AS A 'RECORDER' AT THIS POINT. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS, AS SALE IS FINAL.
