    Description

Description: Vintage 1984 "OPERATION LIFESAVER" Railroad Poster. Cartoon by B Johns "Maybe you can beat the train...Maybe you'll be DEAD WRONG!" Great graphics! Hard to find. Maybe even rare. Tough shape but it has survived.
Condition: Fair. This poster has seen a lot of abuse. Duct tape removed without care on back and tears along edges and corners, soil, toning and creases. This poster had been rolled for a long time and tends to remain in a loose roll. Please take a look at the photos as they are the best indicator of condition.
    Marks: No publisher noted
    Size: Measures approximately 22" x 17"
History for the Preservationist: In 1972, the Idaho State Highway Patrol, then-Governor Cecil Andrus and the Union Pacific Railroad mounted campaign to promote "Stop, Look and Listen" safety at highway-rail grade crossings. The initial teams spoke to civic groups, school groups, school bus and truck drivers. Idaho experienced a 43% reduction in fatalities that first year.
