Technics RS-M235X Dolby B&C dbx Cassette Deck
Great little deck that has been fully serviced
and is ready to go to work.
Plays perfectly and makes really nice recordings.
It is rare to get one of these in 100% operating
condition that looks good, too.
Comes with owners manual copy (in German).
Nice unit. You won't be disappointed.
Service:
I had completely gone thru this deck, replacing
all
the belts (5) and doing the oiling and
lube it needed when at the end, I learned I had
a bad main motor.
No fun.
Fortunately I had a motor in my parts stash
and was able to make repairs.
Besides the belts and lube, all the idlers got
my special treatment and are in great shape.
Cleaned & de-mag'd the tape path and had to tweak
the head alignment; it was a bit off.
Once that was done, I went thru all the electronic
alignments, only needing minor tweaks.
SO the head is in real good shape.
Cosmetics:
Overall looks really nice.
Does show some minor marks here and there.
Plastic "glass" looks pretty good.
Top cover has marks and scratches.
Be sure to mouse over the pics and take a look.
