    Description

Offered is the original oil painting
    October Night
by American Artist Chris Jenkins.  A Delaware Lackawanna & Western  4-8-4 Super Pocono is on the ready track awaiting assignment.   The locomotive's headlight pierces the cool autumn fog.
The painting is 16 inches high by 20 inches wide, and is painted on an archival canvas panel with a hardboard core.   The painting is protected with a finish coat of archival gloss varnish. The painting is sold unframed.     The discoloration on the top of the back is not damage, it is just carryover from when I varnished the painting.
I am the original artist, and the painting is signed by me in the lower right corner and on the back.  The painting is copyrighted and I retain sole rights for publication of the image. The original is yours to enjoy forever.   Your painting will be accompanied with a certificate of authenticity.
Your painting will be shipped to you in a new Airfloat (tm) foam lined box.
Shipping is free, and you may return the painting for a full refund within 30 days if you are not completely satisfied.
    About the artist:
I am an American artist who specializes in painting airplanes, railroads, and ships.  My work has been selected for several juried national and international shows, and my paintings have been displayed in museums, galleries, and other public venues. My paintings have been published on Magazine covers, and they have appeared in publications in the US and Overseas.  In addition, some of my paintings have been licensed and published as the background for checks, as a Christmas card,  and as a picture puzzle   My objective is to capture the essence of a scene or a machine, but without distracting detail. I am retired from a 34 year career in the freight railroad industry, so trains are my favorite subject matter.  You can see my advertisements in the current issues of Classic Trains Magazine.
I am  listed in Ask Art.com's Blue Book of American Artists, and other places.  Please note that I have over 1400 ebay feedbacks, 100% positive.
