    Description

Offered is the original oil painting
    Morning on the Pennsylvania Railroad
by American Artist Chris Jenkins.  As the morning fog lifts, steam locomotives pass at speed.  Position light signals glow above as we see big-time steam railroading at its zenith.
The painting is 14 inches high by 11 inches wide and is painted  on an archival canvas panel with a hardboard core.   The painting is protected with a finish coat of archival  varnish. The painting is sold unframed.
I am the original artist, and the painting is signed by me in the lower left corner and on the back.   Your painting will be accompanied with an attractive certificate of authenticity.

    About the artist:
I am an American artist who specializes in painting airplanes, railroads, and ships.  My work has been selected for several juried national and international shows, and my paintings have been displayed in museums, galleries, and other public venues. My paintings have been published in magazines and on magazine covers, and they have appeared in publications in the US and Overseas.  In addition, some of my paintings have been licensed and published as the background for checks, as a Christmas card,  and one has been published as a picture puzzle  I am a founding member of the American Society of Railway artists, and an associate member of several other art organizations.   My objective is to capture the essence of a scene or a machine, but without distracting detail. I am retired from a 34 year career in the freight railroad industry, so trains are my favorite subject matter.  You can see my advertisements in  the current issues of Classic Trains Magazine.
I am  listed in Ask Art.com's Blue Book of American Artists, and other places.  Please note that I have over 1100 ebay feedbacks, 100% positive.
