cover from Addis Abbaba,  censored by Ambassador Caldwell.  Ethiopian stamp remained uncancelled untill the letter had entered the regular mail in Washington DC, thus the US cancel on an Ethiopian stamp.  Note the customary cachet explaining the incongruit  (also the curious AM-M from FC rubberstamped cachet).
