Made with the newest in abrasive technology, the ceramic abrasive grain. Ceramic grains remain sharp throughout their useful life and stay cool in temperature during use. As a 4 x 36 ceramic sanding belt is used the ceramic grains fracture revealing new sharp edges. Additionally, a grinding agent prevents loading and heat buildup on the work piece or the belt itself. Each of these features prolongs the life of the belt, protects what you are working on from discoloration and results in the most consistent grind. Ceramic belts can last between 50% and 200% longer than equivalent belts made with other abrasive grains. These 4 inch by 36 inch ceramic belts are the best sanding belt for use on all metals and can also be used on wood, fiberglass, plastics, and painted surfaces.
