Description

This 2200 watt 20 kHz near top-of-the-line  Dukane press system was built in 2011 and is in very good condition.  It has been completely checked out, repairs completed and all functions verified.
This DPC model can weld by time, collapse distance, absolute distance, energy, peak power, or ground detect.  It can weld in dual pressure mode or use a second pressure for hold.  It uses a 1 micron optical linear encoder and has a RISC processor sample rate of 1 millisecond.  The generator has line/load regulation so programmed generator amplitude is what you get.  The flow-through cooling system has all components that generate heat mounted on heat sinks that protrude into a cooling tunnel with a thermostatically-operated cooling fan that prevents plant air from coming into contact with circuit board components and minimizes heat-blanket effect that can shorten component life.  The 220 press utilizes a ball-bearing dovetail slide and aluminum castings plus a thick-wall drawn-over-mandrel hard-chromed steel column for high rigidity.  The removable nickel-plated steel fixture mounting surface is easily removable for drilling of additional mounting hole patterns, replacement or resurfacing/re-plating.  Press also includes a coalescing air filter and a standard North-American quick disconnect air bayonet.  The DPCs could be networked using built-in ARCnet ports.  All data including graphing data is available at the serial port.  Optical safety switches are installed in the base.  A significant number of press and generator status outputs are available at the I/O connector.  The DPC is user-programmable to monitor  and/or alarm in excess of 24 different process monitoring parameters as either bad or suspect part limits, and can weld with both primary and secondary control parameters.  Can be connected to a Sherwood monitor for parameter display.  This DPC IV Plus can latch on bad part signal requiring operator action to clear the alarm condition and store parameters for 18 setups in its non-volatile user memory.  Generator parameters are accessible through program menu and password protection can be enabled.
